چکیده

The Learning with Errors (LWE) problem has been widely used as a hardness assumption to construct public-key primitives. In this paper, we propose an efficient instantiation of a PKE scheme based on LWE with a sparse secret, named as spLWE. We first construct an IND-CPA PKE and convert it to an IND-CCA scheme in the quantum random oracle model by applying a modified Fujisaki-Okamoto conversion of Unruh. In order to guarantee the security of our base problem suggested in this paper, we provide a polynomial time reduction from LWE with a uniformly chosen secret to spLWE. We modify the previous attacks for LWE to exploit the sparsity of a secret key and derive more suitable parameters. We can finally estimate performance of our scheme supporting 256-bit messages: our implementation shows that our IND-CCA scheme takes 313 μ seconds and 302 μ seconds respectively for encryption and decryption with the parameters that have 128-quantum bit security.

Practical Power Analysis Attacks on Software Implementations of McEliece

The McEliece public-key cryptosystem is based on the fact that decoding unknown linear binary codes is an NP-complete problem. The interest on implementing post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, e.g. McEliece, on microprocessor-based platforms has been extremely raised due to the increasing storage space of these platforms. Therefore, their vulnerability and robustness against physical attacks,...

QTRU: quaternionic version of the NTRU public-key cryptosystems

In this paper we will construct a lattice-based public-key cryptosystem using non-commutative quaternion algebra, and since its lattice does not fully fit within Circular and Convolutional Modular Lattice (CCML), we prove it is arguably more secure than the existing lattice-based cryptosystems such as NTRU. As in NTRU, the proposed public-key cryptosystem relies for its inherent securi...

EEH: AGGH-like public key cryptosystem over the eisenstein integers using polynomial representations

GGH class of public-key cryptosystems relies on computational problems based on the closest vector problem (CVP) in lattices for their security. The subject of lattice based cryptography is very active and there have recently been new ideas that revolutionized the field. We present EEH, a GGH-Like public key cryptosystem based on the Eisenstein integers Z [ζ3] where ζ3 is a primitive...

QRKE: Quantum-Resistant Public Key Exchange

A “Post-Quantum Key Exchange” is needed since the availability of quantum computers that allegedly allow breaking classical algorithms like Diffie-Hellman, El Gamal, RSA and others within a practical amount of time is broadly assumed in literature. Although our survey suggests that practical quantum computers appear to be by far less advanced as actually required to break state-of-the-art key n...

Elliptic Curve Isogenies-Based Three-party Password Authenticated Key Agreement Scheme towards Quantum-Resistant

Since quantum computers came on the scene, the world has changed greatly, especially related to cryptography. Public key cryptosystem, particularly RSA cryptosystem cant resist the quantum computers attack, so some quantum-resistant schemes have been proposed mainly based on quantum key distribution (QKD) method or new resistance to quantum algorithms. However, to the best of our knowledge, no ...
